Call for Submissions on “Life on the Line: Challenging ICU Cases”

Do you have a compelling ICU case that tested your clinical acumen and decision-making skills? A case that pushed the boundaries of multi-systemic care and demanded innovative problem-solving?

We are excited to invite submissions for “Life on the Line: Challenging ICU Cases”, a highlight segment of APICS 2025. This interactive session will delve into complex ICU cases with multi-systemic involvement, showcasing the real-world challenges clinicians face at the bedside. Experts will be invited to share their perspectives on the management of these challenging cases. Examples of such challenges include ventilator management in patients with abdominal compartment syndrome, blood pressure management in polytrauma patients with traumatic brain injury, managing acute kidney injury requiring dialysis in patients with acute brain injury, and ethical dilemmas.

Selected cases will be presented during the symposium, with opportunities for expert feedback and vibrant discussion. Authors of selected submissions will receive complimentary registration to APICS 2025.

Don’t miss this chance to contribute to advancing ICU practice while gaining recognition for your clinical expertise! We look forward to your submissions, and to learning from your experiences on the frontlines of critical care!
