Synopsis: | APICS Trainee Review is a workshop designed specially with trainees in mind. Clinical pearls in core topics CKRT, Mechanical ventilation, Hemodynamic monitoring and Advance acid base are each condensed into 4x 1-hour masterclass sessions, delivered by experienced intensivists expert in these fields. These advance concepts will be taught through a mix of didactic and interactive methods, complete with clinical vignettes for enhanced illustration and applicability. Each masterclass will also be paired with a case based discussion session run in a viva exam style, to allow participants to practice their exam answering techniques with our panel of faculties who are experienced examiners of local and international intensive care medicine (ICM) exams. Pick and choose to attend the bite size classes that most interest you, without needing to spare long hours or miss out on much of the main conference.

|||
Course Director | Dr Lau Yie Hui
Synopsis | This modular workshop over 2 days, designed for any healthcare professional who wishes to learn core POCUS skills that is applicable to a wide range of settings. This workshop focuses on image acquisition components of POCUS, and it would be appropriate for learners who would like either a taste or refresher of foundational POCUS skills and exposure to some less frequently used POCUS modalities that would be useful in the critical care setting.
It utilises a small-group, hands-on format, where participants will get to practice on live models and receive instant feedback regarding their techniques. There will also opportunity for Meet the Expert discussions during each workshop. It can be attended as individual modules (with the exception of Introduction to CCE which comprises of 2 modules). Pre-reading material will be provided prior to the workshops. |
