Message from SICM President
At the time of writing, international travel is still highly restricted. As we wait and hope that vaccines help us give an edge in this long drawn battle, the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Singapore (SICM) Team is determined in our quest to connect healthcare workers with each other and with the most up to date information.
We learnt a lot (and very quickly) about both the benefits and banes of a totally virtual conference when we organized the Asia-Pacific Intensive Care Symposium (APICS) 2020. We received praise but sought feedback to improve the experience for attendees, faculty and members of the trade. Armed with this experience, we are now ready to bring you our second virtual intensive care medicine conference, APICS 2021.
For APICS 2021, we are delighted to work with our long term partner society, Australian-New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS). Going by the success of past SG-ANZICS conferences which we organize together in Singapore, we are confident that we can continue the winning formula together in the APICS series.
Be assured that our physical, lively conference will return when the COVID19 pandemic settles and we look forward to welcoming you back to Singapore. In the meantime, I hope you will join us online for APICS 2021.
Dr Tan Hon Liang
