||Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) aims to improve patient care and outcomes during the critical first hours following neurological emergencies. ENLS promotes a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach using a consistent set of protocols, practical checklists, decision points, and suggested communication to use during patient management. This course covers 14 protocols developed by Neurocritical Care Society.
||1. Understand the specific clinical needs of patients in the early phases of neurological and neurosurgical emergencies
2. Meet these needs by standardising the management using ENLS protocols
3. Use of checklists to address important clinical points
4. Use of checklists to improve handovers
5. General Critical Care (e.g. airway and ventilation, pharmacotherapy)

||Intensive Care Nephrology workshop – Beyond BASIC Nephrology [FULLY BOOKED]

||Jointly developed by the BASIC collaboration (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), this international course has been conducted at multiple locations in a similar format to the original BASIC ICU course. This is a post-conference workshop of the APICS conference 2023.
This 2-day course has several components; including a pre and post course MCQ test, comprehensive structured lectures, demonstrations, small group discussions and practical skill stations and hands on interaction with dialysis machines at several skill station.
Participants can expect to complete the course with a thorough knowledge of conditions causing AKI, strategies for prevention and detection, supportive and disease specific therapies and renal replacement strategies and troubleshooting. They will be able to then deploy this knowledge in general, acute care and critical care areas.
