Introduction<\/strong><\/td>\nPIE is a transthoracic Doppler echocardiography course targeting at more experienced or advanced practitioners. This course is particularly useful to:<\/p>\n

    The course objective is to equip practitioners with the skills to properly assess cardiac function and haemodynamics in patients who are critically ill. Introduction<\/strong><\/td>\nAirway management in children can be challenging and intimidating even in the hands of an experienced anesthesiologist. The Paediatric Airway Workshop is designed by a team from KKH Paediatric Anesthesiology and Children\u2019s Intensive Care Unit to build on basic airway strategies and teach advanced airway skills that are essential to ensure safe and successful outcomes. Participants who may benefit from this workshop include emergency physicians, paediatricians, intensivists, anesthesiologists and nurses. Introduction<\/strong><\/td>\nThe PFCCS course is an in-depth and comprehensive programme aimed at improving paediatric care.\u00a0 Using the same hands-on, high-quality approach as Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS), this programme focuses intensely on the paediatric population. PFCCS accomplishes these goals by providing a balance of didactic lectures and hands-on skill stations while building on the participant\u2019s basic paediatric knowledge.\u00a0 Those who have completed Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or their equivalents will benefit from PFCCS, because much of the material covers the transition from initial patient resuscitation to arrival in the intensive care unit.\u00a0 Some of the unique features of the course include interactive case scenario-based lectures and skill stations specific to critically ill or injured children.<\/p>\n

The curriculum is presented as a 2-day series of integrated lectures and didactic in-person skill stations that provide knowledge, guidance for decision making, and limited practice in some clinical procedures.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
