Dr Kenneth Chan is a specialist in respiratory medicine at the Respiratory Medical Associates in Singapore. His special interests include bronchoscopy, smoking cessation, and intensive care medicine. He is also a visiting consultant to Singapore General Hospital and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. Dr Chan received his MBBS and MMed in Internal Medicine from the National University of Singapore. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. |

Dr Christian Sandrock, United States
Dr Christian Sandrock is the Director of Critical Care, Vice-Chair for Quality and Safety, and Professor of Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center, USA. Professor Sandrock has an M.P.H. in international public health, an M.D. degree from Lund University, and is Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine, Infectious Diseases, as well as Pulmonary Disease by the American Board of Medicine. His clinical interests lie in respiratory infections, community-acquired and viral pneumonia, and ICU-acquired infections. His research interests include emerging infectious diseases at the animal and human interface, particularly respiratory infections such as avian influenza, SARS, and other diseases acquired by humans, and he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications on the topic. Professor Sandrock believes in a patient-driven and centered approach that focuses on holistic care, including family support, alternative therapies, religion, lifestyle practices, cultural practices and other modalities in conjunction with conventional therapies. |
